Library YAACs
(Young Adult Advisory Council)

A Library YAAC is the Library’s Young Adult Advisory Council. This group is made up of 5-10 young adults (teens) from grades 6-12. Each member is referred to as a “YAAC.”

The YAACs are volunteers who help plan teen activities, advise on the purchasing of Young Adult materials for the library, promote reading, help with summer reading programs, etc…..
Teens become YAACs because.... volunteer time can
translate to Community Service hours for school
(if pre-approved by your teacher)

Get to plan/participate in fun activities such as
Human Chess, puppet shows for children, plays, mini golf, etc….

Make new friends and hang out with old friends
