What's Your Story Aberdeen?

All Aberdeen Reads celebrates
Seabiscuit: An American Legend
by Laura Hillenbrand

This book takes place during the late 1930's.  Please take part in the All Aberdeen Reads exhibit at the Dacotah Prairie Museum from April 14-25th and learn what Aberdeen was like during the 1930's.  Be sure to see the quilt made from winning horse-show ribbons.  This exhibit is quite spectacular and fun for the entire family.

The Alexander Mitchell Public Library invites everyone in the Aberdeen area to participate in the first annual One Book One Community program All Aberdeen Reads.  The hope for this initiative is to promote literacy, cultivate intergenerational and multicultural discussions, and foster a sense of community by bringing people together through literature.

The title chosen as the one book for the entire Aberdeen area to read together is Seabiscuit: An American Legend by Laura Hillenbrand.

Everyone who participates in the All Aberdeen Reads Kick-Off Event Derby Dinner will receive a free copy of Seabiscuit: An American Legend by Laura Hillenbrand.

All Aberdeen Reads is brought to you by the Alexander Mitchell Public Library in partnership with Dacotah Prairie Museum , Aberdeen Area Arts Council and the Aberdeen Recreational and Cultural Center .
